Registration

1. Registration Period

Tuesday, July 21, 2026 – Friday, January 8, 2027, 12:00 noon

2. How to Register

Please complete the Google Form below to register.

*If you are considering a poster presentation, please review the Poster Abstract Submission section before registering.
*If you do not receive an email with details on your on-site/web participation by Friday, January 15, please contact the secretariat [symposium[at]kaketsuken.org (replace [at] with @ when sending)]. Please also adjust your email settings (e.g., domain registration) to ensure you can receive messages from the secretariat.

For On-site Participants

  • Your participant badge, program, and abstract book will be provided at the on-site reception desk. Please wear your badge at all times within the venue.
  • The venue does not have dedicated parking. Please use public transportation.
  • Business casual attire is welcome (no tie required).
  • Participants will be asked to sign a confidentiality agreement to attend this symposium. The agreement will be distributed at the reception desk on the day of the event; your understanding and cooperation are appreciated.
  • On the evening of Friday, January 22, a networking reception will be held. Admission is free.

Poster Abstract Submission

1. Eligible Presenters

Undergraduate students, graduate students, research associates, postdoctoral researchers, and early-career faculty

2. Research Scope

Research related to “Infection, Cancer, and Immune Response”

3. Timeline from Abstract Submission to Presentation Day

① Until Saturday, October 31: Abstract registration and submission (peer-reviewed)
② Mid-November: Notification of abstract acceptance and Travel Grant results
③ Friday, January 22: Poster display and discussion session

4. Abstract Submission Period

5. Travel Grants Application

Travel Grants are available for poster presenters traveling from outside Kumamoto Prefecture. For successful applicants, travel tickets and accommodations will be arranged through an outsourced agency. If you wish to apply, please indicate so in the Travel Grants section of the Google Form above.

6. Abstract Preparation Guidelines

Presenters should use the designated template and insert their text accordingly.

The abstract book will be published on our institute’s website, so please prepare your content accordingly.
  • Length: One A4 page
  • Language: English is preferred, but Japanese is also acceptable
  • Font: MS Mincho (for Japanese text) / Century (for English text)
  • Font Size: 12 pt for the title, 11 pt for other text
  • Please include the title, author names (circle the presenting author), and affiliation, leaving one blank line between the affiliation and the main text.
  • Figures and tables should not be included.
  • It is not necessary to divide the abstract using the template’s [Purpose], [Methods], [Results], and [Discussion] headings.
  • Please name the file using the presenter’s full name.
  • After completing registration via the Google Form above, please submit your abstract data as an email attachment to the secretariat [symposium[at]kaketsuken.org (replace [at] with @ when sending)]. 【Deadline: Saturday, October 31, 2026, 12:00 noon】
  • A confirmation email will be sent within 3 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) of receiving your abstract data. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please contact the secretariat [symposium[at]kaketsuken.org (replace [at] with @ when sending)]. Please also adjust your email settings (e.g., domain registration) to ensure you can receive messages from the secretariat.

Guidelines for Poster Presenters

1. Presentation Format

The session will follow an open-discussion format; please present and discuss your work in front of your own panel.

2. Language

Since international students and researchers typically attend, we recommend preparing your poster content in English, although Japanese is also acceptable. Presentations will generally be conducted in Japanese; please be prepared to respond in English as needed.

3. Poster Preparation Guidelines

  • The display panel size is 90 cm (width) × 180 cm (height).
  • Poster numbers will be posted on each panel in advance.
    Please use the masking tape provided at the venue to attach your poster to the panel.
  • Please prepare a header displaying the title, affiliation, and presenter names (circle the presenting author) within 70 cm (width) × 20 cm (height), and post it next to the poster number.
  • We recommend a font size of at least 36 pt for the title so that it is legible from at least 5 meters away. We recommend a font size of at least 18 pt for the body text so that it is legible from at least 3 meters away.

4. Posting, Presentation, and Removal

  • Posting Time: Friday, January 22, 12:00–13:00
  • Display Period: Until 12:00 on Saturday, January 23
  • Presentation and Discussion: Friday, January 22
     Odd-numbered posters: 17:20–17:50 (30 min)
     Even-numbered posters: 17:50–18:20 (30 min)
  • Removal Time: Saturday, January 23, 12:15–12:45 (strictly enforced)

5. Best Poster Award

All presentations will be evaluated on the day of the symposium to select outstanding poster presenters.
The award ceremony will be held during the closing ceremony on Saturday, January 23.
